Production Facility Groundbreaking

SHINE Breaks Ground on Medical Isotope Production Facility - First Commercial Sales of Life-Saving Medical Isotopes Expected in 2022. SHINE held a groundbreaking ceremony today to celebrate the start of construction of its US medical isotope production facility in Janesville, Wisconsin. The groundbreaking comes just one month after SHINE was transferred 91 acres of land across from the Southern Wisconsin Airport. Once complete, the facility will be home to eight of SHINE’s accelerator-based medical isotope production systems, capable of producing over one-third of global demand for the most widely-used medical isotope, molybdenum-99.
